On this episode, we have a discussion with the mastermind behind epic poem “Mormonism and Me,” Tanner Gilliland, or as some may know him Zelph on the Shelf! He gives us his timeline in the church, and offers his perspective of the Mormon church. The second half of the interview is spent deconstructing Tanner’s amazing poem “Mormonism and Me,” to really understand the inspiration behind such grammatical wizardry. Mormonism Unveiled: Including the Remarkable Life and Confessions of the Late Mormon Bishop, John D. Lee; (written by Himself) and Complete Life of Brigham Young, Embracing a History of Mormonism from Its Inception Down to the Present Time, with an Exposition of the Secret History, Signs, Symbols and Crimes of the Mormon Church. Also the True History of the Horrible Butchery Known as the Mountain Meadows Massacre, page 80-81 gives an account of Isaac being shot and being hidden under the floor boards of a cabin. I found several others but they were almost identical to this account.

The Mountain Meadows Massacre, page 17 He was nearly beaten to death by agents of the priesthood in Parawan because he sold onions to the Baker-Francher party of Mountain Meadows Massacre fame.
